If your office runs on AccuLynx, evaluate XBuild as an addition before treating it as a replacement. A linked job brings the job name, homeowner, address and insurance claim information into XBuild. Your production and office processes can remain in AccuLynx while you assess the estimating step separately.
Plan for the documents that do not come across.
The AccuLynx connector does not pull files or photos into XBuild. If your estimate depends on a measurement report, scope or inspection photos stored there, download the material and attach it to the XBuild chat. Include that step in your trial; a demonstration using files already on a laptop can hide it.
Check what the office receives.
XBuild sends sales milestone updates, sales documents and photos added in XBuild back to the linked AccuLynx job. You choose the destination document folder when linking. Have an office teammate check the result, not just the person preparing the estimate. That is the handoff that determines whether the combined workflow fits.
What to test before you choose.
Use a completed roofing job with a measurement report, inspection photos and any claim details. Rebuild the estimate and compare the scope with the reviewed original.
Link the correct AccuLynx job and document folder. Check the returned proposal, photo descriptions and status updates with the office team.

Do I have to leave AccuLynx to use XBuild?
No. The documented connector supports using them together: AccuLynx remains the job system of record, while XBuild provides its estimating and proposal workflow. Replacing a CRM is a separate decision involving production, reporting, supplier workflows and existing records.
Will my AccuLynx photos appear automatically in XBuild?
No. Job details can be imported, but AccuLynx files and photos are not pulled into XBuild. Download the files you need and attach them to the chat. Photos added in XBuild can be sent back to the linked AccuLynx job.
What should I compare if I already like AccuLynx?
Focus on the part you want to improve. Test estimate preparation, review, proposal creation and the return handoff on the same job. Keep the existing workflow if an added tool does not reduce enough work to justify its cost and setup.
